The ECA swimmers took to the pool at the West Allegheny Christmas Invitational on December 20, consisting of hundreds of swimmers from 15 schools. All of the swimmers dropped time. ECA swimmers Noah Pickett and Mimi Chamberlain made huge waves in the pool. Noah took first place in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke, setting Cornell records in the process. Noah now owns 5 out of the 8 possible individual event records. Mimi took second place in the 200 IM, and first place in the 100 breaststroke, beating her own Cornell record. Kendra Durec dropped time in all four of her events, and the 400 freestyle relay team, consisting of Mimi, Kendra, and their OLSH teammates, took sixth place, but more excitedly qualified for WPIALS! Their 200 medley relay also took sixth place, and was only one second away from a WPIAL cut. Ben Heimann and Bailey Durec had a strong showing, as both dropped time in their events. Way to go, Eden swimmers!
