Boys Baseball Team Wins WPIAL Class 1A Championship

For the first time in school history, No. 1 Eden Christian Academy is your WPIAL 1A Baseball Champion! The Warriors secured the crown with a dominant 5-1 victory over No. 2 Greensburg Central Catholic! Noah Emswiler pitched a complete game and striking out 15 batters, while also bringing the heat at the plate with two hits! Brady Hull delivered in clutch moments, driving in two huge RBIs for the Warriors! Congratulations to our boys, coaches, and the entire Eden community on this monumental, historic achievement!

Track WPIALS

Junior Alex competed in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash, setting a new school record in the 200-meter. Freshman Annalese had a standout day in the 400-meter dash and 800-meter run, placing 8th overall in the 800. In the 3200-meter run, Junior Hannah and Sophomore Jack both put on fantastic performances. Finally, the Girls 4x800-meter relay team, consisting of Keira, Hannah, Leah, and Annalese, finished 7th overall while smashing the Eden school record for the third time this season! Congratulations to all of our outstanding runners!

Eden Christian rallies past Saegertown to head back to PIAA Class A final

Clutch hitting and a calm sophomore pitcher carried the Eden Christian baseball team back to the PIAA Class A baseball championship game. A three-run double by sophomore catcher Josh Tiden in a four-run fifth inning and solid pitching from sophomore Noah Emswiler rallied Eden Christian past District 10 runner-up Saegertown, 7-5, at Slippery Rock’s Jack Critchfield Park. The victory puts Eden Christian (19-6) in the championship game at 10:30 a.m. Friday against District 1 champion Faith Christian (22-0) at Penn State’s Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Faith Christian advanced with a 6-1 victory against Bishop McCort. This is the second time that Eden Christian has reached the championship game. It lost to Halifax, 9-1, in 2021. “We’re hoping for a better outcome,” coach Mark Feldman said. “The more you play in these games, the more you are prepared. Eden Warrior and freshman, Noah Pickett, broke the Cornell High School Record in the 500 freestyle by 4 seconds tonight (he won the event by over 30 seconds). The new team record is now 4:57.81 and he is now in the top 10 for WPIALS in this event.
